London Facility

Introducing. Our new state-of-the-art London plant.

Good news London, ReFood has arrived. Having collected fat and bone in the area for over 200 years (previously as John Knight), we’re proud to unveil our first food waste Anaerobic Digestion (AD) facility in London. The new £32m AD plant is capable of processing 160,000 tonnes of food waste a year.

Just like our Doncaster and Widnes facilities, our London site offers businesses across the region a secure closed-loop solution that converts food waste into renewable energy. This innovative process cuts your carbon footprint, reduces overall food waste disposal costs by up to 50%* and creates a nutrient-rich biofertiliser, which we call ReGrow.

Did you know?

While today, we specialise in food waste Anaerobic Digestion recycling, we still collect fat and bone (in different bins) and simply take them next door to our sister company SARVAL to recycle.
